Radio Free Europe announces that the European Commission proposed today to all EU member states to gradually ease travel measures during the summer.
The commission said its proposal is that fully vaccinated people should be exempted from testing or quarantine when traveling from one EU country to another, REL reports.
1. Persons who will have the digital COVID-19 certificate, through which they prove that they have received the last dose of the vaccine against COVID-19, should not be subject to any restrictive measures. They must have received the last dose of the vaccine at least 14 days before travel.
2. People who testify that they have passed the infection from this virus. Minors traveling in the company of those enjoying these facilities should have the same rights.
3. For others, the European Commission has proposed that the measures be applied depending on the area from which they arrive in the EU.
4. There will be no restrictive measures for those arriving from green areas.
5. For those arriving from the orange zone, only a negative test will be required, but not quarantine.
6. For those arriving from the red zones, quarantine will be required only until they are awaiting the result of the test.
7. For citizens coming from the "closed red" area, i.e. those with a severe epidemiological situation, testing and quarantine will be required.
The commission has proposed that PCR tests be accepted with a deadline of 78 hours, while rapid antigen tests are valid for 48 hours, while it is also discussing with other countries to have a fair recognition of the COVID-19 certificates in in order to facilitate travel from those countries as well. /Referred REL, labyrinth
